Karin can be found in Markthalle Neun from mid-April to the end of December.

A small village in the Prignitz region. More precisely, in Klein Gottschow, a place of Slavic origin, between Perleberg and Pritzwalk. It is home to a former asparagus farm, which is now run by Karin Schlegel. In addition to horses, donkeys, dairy goats, numerous dogs and cats (and even emus), Karin mainly breeds, slaughters and sells her poultry herself. With an uncompromising approach that restaurants such as Nobelhart & Schmutzig know to appreciate. Various breeds of ducks such as moulards, flying ducks and peking ducks, geese and Cröllwitz turkeys live and die here. With plenty of space to roam instead of in a huge barn. Fed, not fattened. We recommend that you pre-order your Christmas roast in advance: These ducks, geese and turkeys are among the best you can find in Berlin.

Even before the market opens, the hall's gates open: The butcher counter, cafés, bakeries, and some shops are there for you early in the morning. And it's also worth visiting after the market closes – for example, for a glass of something, a pizza, or to soak up the hall's atmosphere.

Traders

The heart of Markthalle Neun is the market: vibrant stalls, a fish counter, glass-fronted bakeries, and a butcher’s shop; a brewery in the basement and open kitchens. Shopping here means getting up close and personal with food production, bringing it out of anonymity and into urban life. From Monday to Saturday, you’ll find a varying array of producers, traders, and restaurateurs. Check out who’s here and when.
