RAW WINE has been a regular guest at Markthalle Neun for many years – and for good reason. Founded by Isabelle Legeron, RAW WINE is one of the world’s most exciting fairs for natural wine: strictly organic, biodynamic and as unmanipulated as possible.
More than 130 growers from around the globe pour their wines in person. Many are already represented in Germany’s trade and gastronomy, others are looking to enter the market for the very first time. What unites them: true craftsmanship and wines made without additives, without technical trickery and without synthetic fining agents. Sulphur is used sparingly, if at all. In the vineyards, biodynamic principles guide the work; in the cellar, nature sets the tone.
RAW WINE shows how diverse, vibrant and surprising natural wine can be. And it highlights what really goes into a bottle: people who work on a small scale, often radically by hand, and who take ecological agriculture seriously.
