The food and produce offered in markets is often fresher and of higher quality. In addition, artisan businesses often produce on a smaller scale compared to large food chains. The lower production volume can lead to higher production costs, which affect the final price. Supermarkets often buy food in bulk, which can lead to lower purchase prices. Our suppliers may not have the same bargaining power to get similarly low wholesale prices. If you have any questions about pricing, you can get in direct contact with local producers, farmers and traders in the Markthalle. You will receive background information on the goods on offer and can ask questions. You can find out more about the people at Markthalle Neun here.
