Eating cheese is also a bit like travelling through space and time. At the Alma stand, the journey takes you to Vorarlberg - the mountainous north-west of Austria. The journey here is made in metres of altitude - from the valley to the Vorsäß in spring and then up to around 2000 m to the Alpe before returning to the valley in September. The reward for the effort is real enjoyment: you can taste the 50 different herbs from unspoilt alpine meadows in the Vorarlberger Alpkäse PDO.
