Baumstriezel in a class of its own! Because at Chimneys you can pimp up the ‘chimney cake’ of the same name. There are various fillings and toppings for the sweet Striezel, such as (vegan!) soft ice cream. Cold soft ice cream meets warm, cinnamon-sugary cake - nothing more needs to be said, right?

Incidentally, the Baumstriezel has its origins in Transylvania, where it has been baked over an open fire for centuries. Through Hungarian and Romanian cuisine, it spread throughout Central Europe - and took off again with Chimney in Berlin! A sweet example of how traditions move and evolve!
