The curators and co-hosts of the market: Our Sake Club brings the vibrant Japanese sake culture to Kreuzberg. Founded by Richie Hawtin and Laura Käding-Hawtin, the team has been combining a deep respect for traditional craftsmanship with uncompromising, modern creativity for almost two decades. For the sake weekend, they’ve sifted through their portfolio of over 70 varieties and are bringing a much-loved, hand-picked selection to our market.

The trio’s aim: to make sake an accessible experience – as a versatile cousin to wine and beer. You can meet them together at the Our Sake Market stall. No technical jargon required – let’s get the tastings underway. Grab a glass and get to know the minds behind the club!

Great guests coming over: Sake from Japan and Berlin – a mix of young, wild newcomers and traditional masters. Four breweries are flying in straight from Japan with bottles never tried in Berlin before. Expect dozens of hand-crafted varieties to taste, 1,000 years of history in your glass, and a real Sake Samurai on site.
