Ralf Bussian

Technically, nothing can really go wrong in the market, because Ralf Bussian and his team are on hand every day to make sure everything runs smoothly. They are constantly screwing and hammering away to ensure that everything runs like clockwork. Ralf is actually a maintenance mechanic, but he has also worked as a parquet layer, window manufacturer, and hardware dealer in another market hall. Ralf and his team are real jack-of-all-trades—without them, nothing would really work here. His enthusiasm for good, simple food, home cooking, brought him to the market hall. For example, his favorite dish: meatballs with leeks.

Even before the market opens, the hall's gates open: The butcher counter, cafés, bakeries, and some shops are there for you early in the morning. And it's also worth visiting after the market closes – for example, for a glass of something, a pizza, or to soak up the hall's atmosphere.

Team

We believe that lively markets make cities more livable. That's why everyone contributes with their own particular strengths: facility managers keep the hall in good shape, market organizers plan daily operations and events, and finance and communications staff keep everything running smoothly. Together, we ensure that Markthalle Neun is a place where ideas grow, neighborhoods come together, and food culture is made tangible.
