Bake for Ukraine brings together bakers and volunteers from Ukraine, Germany, Slovakia and the UK. 

Founded in Berlin in February 2022, they raise funds internationally to support people and bakeries in Ukraine. 

They build bakeries, run mobile bakeries, bake and deliver sourdough bread to communities that need it most, and support local bakeries with equipment, generators and fuel. 

At the same time, they share Ukrainian sourdough bread culture beyond Ukraine through pop-ups, collaborations and events, bringing people together through bread.

Odesa is coming to town, and you're invited!

For two days, Odessa is coming to Kreuzberg. A market that brings together wine, bread, delicious food and beautiful things – and with it, a little piece of Odessa with its stories and traditions. There’ll be cooking, eating, storytelling and shopping. That's what markets are all about.

Food writer Maria Kalenska will be presenting her cookbook "Cuisines of Odessa", featuring recipes and stories from more than 100 families. Let’s remember: whilst war rages in Ukraine, people continue to grow, bake, cook and trade. Thankfully. Every bite, every bottle and every encounter helps to keep their culture alive.
