Carina Reckers

Carina Reckers and her team are the voice and eyes of Markthalle Neun. She heads up our communications department and also plays a key curatorial role. Studying gastronomic sciences at the Slow Food University in Italy sharpened her focus on food, agriculture, and the people behind it, encouraging her to understand the world through food. Today, all of this comes together in her work for Markthalle Neun, where she promotes the diversity, artisanship, and stories of our vendors.

Even before the market opens, the hall's gates open: The butcher counter, cafés, bakeries, and some shops are there for you early in the morning. And it's also worth visiting after the market closes – for example, for a glass of something, a pizza, or to soak up the hall's atmosphere.

Team

We believe that lively markets make cities more livable. That's why everyone contributes with their own particular strengths: facility managers keep the hall in good shape, market organizers plan daily operations and events, and finance and communications staff keep everything running smoothly. Together, we ensure that Markthalle Neun is a place where ideas grow, neighborhoods come together, and food culture is made tangible.
