Sweet success story!

Newcomers to Naschmarkt International in April, Flor and Luca now regularly visit the market hall on Thursdays. What they bring with them: their alfajores! The two sweet tooths make everything themselves—Luca bakes the cookies and Flor finishes the works of art with dark, white, or milk chocolate and toppings that match the filling. Just to explain briefly: Alfajores are Latin American cookies, or more precisely, a double cookie held together by a filling, typically dulce de leche, and then covered with chocolate. Sounds delicious, but that's not all. Flor and Luca's counter is filled with different varieties. In addition to the classic, there are also cookies with matcha, disguised as carrot cake, with white chocolate and pistachio, and even vegan options! My personal recommendation: the one with walnuts (bottom left in the picture). A cookie filled with quince jam, covered in dark chocolate and topped with a walnut – you'll thank me later. Even if for many the sweet treat comes at the end (debatable!), don't wait too long, because it often happens that Flor and Luca's hands are empty.
