‘Las Chilangas’ - that's what women from the capital are called in Mexico City. Johanna and Clau came to Berlin from there with a great love of tacos. They have been making their handy corn parcels for three years, including the classic al pastor - one of the best-known Mexican street food specialities.

Inspired by the shawarma of Lebanese immigrants, marinated pork is grilled on a vertical skewer, sliced wafer-thin and served on corn tortillas with pineapple, coriander and onions. Johanna and Clau make their own skewers. On Tuesdays they marinate, on Thursdays Clau puts the skewer together herself - ready for the grill on Street Food Thursday..

In addition to the classic version, there is always a vegan option with cactus - which ‘grows on every corner’ in Mexico. There is also a weekly special, this time a pulled chicken taco. And of course: a good portion of guacamole. That's the way it should be!
