For many years, the Turkish community in Berlin has been inviting people to break their fast together in Markthalle Neun during Ramadan. For many Muslims, the month of fasting is a time for contemplation, prayer - and socialising. Iftar, the daily breaking of the fast after sunset, is a special moment: it brings people together to eat, talk and socialise.

The market hall is always a place of encounter - and on this evening this is once again evident. The festive stage programme with music, prayers and speeches accompanies the sunset before the fast is traditionally broken with dates and water. Afterwards, the tables are filled with warm dishes, freshly baked bread and sweet delicacies - a feast for the senses and the community.

We are delighted to be hosting this important event again this year together with the Turkish community in Berlin - and invite everyone to experience the atmosphere of a shared iftar.
