Jonna Meyer-Spasche has been managing the Markthalle Neun cultural association since mid-2025, bringing a breath of fresh air to the association's work. As a political scientist, she likes to look at the big picture: for Jonna, food is not only a pleasure, but also political: it connects people, reflects culture and opens up spaces for social debate. At the same time, she knows how valuable it is to enjoy a home-cooked meal in the here and now.

Before taking over the management of the association, Jonna advised companies on strategic issues, built up a network for diverse grain value creation and was involved in the German organic umbrella organisation for sustainable food production. She now brings this experience to the association's work in order to further develop projects, expand networks and promote sustainable cultural diversity around Markthalle Neun.

With Jonna at the helm, the cultural association is growing steadily and creating new opportunities to bring together the themes of nutrition, sustainability, culture and community – always with an eye for the big picture and a passion for helping to shape the future.
